Yes. The Windows app receives system-wide keyboard and mouse events and plays sounds locally. The browser playground only responds while you interact with its page.
Can I use my own sounds?+
Yes. Add a file or folder in Add sounds. Keymere finds the first audible onset and keeps up to one second. You can map separate recordings to keys, releases and mouse buttons. Your original files are unchanged.
What sounds are included?+
Five typing sounds, two mouse-click sounds and three wheel sounds. Choose each category independently; the first in each is selected on a fresh profile. The Typewriter has its own separate credited recordings.
Do I need a subscription or an account?+
No subscription or Keymere account is needed. The Windows app requires online activation with a Gumroad or Dodo purchase key. Verified licenses can work offline for up to three days before reconnecting. The browser offers three free plays per game, saved in this browser. Each Typewriter play is a three-minute session. A purchased Windows license unlocks unrestricted game sessions in the app.
Can I get a refund?+
Request a refund within 14 days of purchase by emailing your purchase email and order number. The separate cashback offer lets you keep using Keymere after an approved claim.
Which computers can use the app?+
The installer targets Windows x64. Windows 11 is recommended; compatibility on your particular machine still needs checking. There is no native macOS or Linux installer in this release.
